Ghanaian Judge killed in Mecca


Police in Saudi Arabia are investigating the death of a Ghanaian judge who was knocked by a car. Justice Mohammed Goodman Nabon was among over four thousand Ghanaians who embarked on this year’s pilgrimage to Mecca. The death of the 59-year-old Kumasi High Court judge brings to five the number of Ghanaians who have died during this year’s pilgrimage.

Amin Lamptey, deputy Communications Director for the Hajj committee told Starr News that the Saudi government is yet to establish how the judge was knocked by the car. Justice Nabon has since been buried in accordance with Islamic customs.
