KENYA :BURNING BODY SPARKS SERIAL KILLER FEARS!

THE burning body of a woman was found in a dumpster yesterday morning.
Nyaope addicts made the horrific discovery in extension 6 of Mamelodi East, Tshwane while looking for scrap metal to sell.
The victim was the third young woman found murdered in the area since last month and the killings have sparked fears that a serial killer is responsible.

On Tuesday, taximen and community members brutally attacked a man who had a car matching the description of a private taxi one of the victims was seen getting into.
They also set his car and shack alight. Resident Hlopheka Masango (40), a father of three girls, said: “I’m very scared now. I believe there is a serial killer after the women of the kasi.
“The police must do everything they can to find the suspect because women are dying.”
However, police are saying there is no evidence at this stage to link the killings.
Police Captain Doniah Mothutsane yesterday pointed out that the ways in which the three women were murdered differed.
The first victim was found with both hands tied, the second was found strangled with wire and the third was set alight.
Mothutsane said evidence was collected at all the crime scenes and was being sent away for
analysis.

“We are awaiting the post mortem results for all three bodies,” she said. She appealed to the people of Mamelodi East to remain calm and alert in the meantime.

Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect or suspects should contact CrimeStop on 08600 10111, SMS Crime Line on 32211 or visit their nearest police station.
