PHOTO: 16-year-old St. Johns SHS Student Hangs Himself

Ghana was virtually thrown into a state of bewilderment and amazement last Sunday when news broke out that a 16 year old boy has committed suicide by
hanging.

Prior to the sad incident, the deceased, Master Ayebi, a prospective second year visual Art student of St John’s School in
Sekondi didn’t show any sign of
bitterness which could have given a clue of his penchant to commit such
gruesome act.

However, a deep throat source tells
YOURS IN THE INDEFATIGABLE SERVICE OF GHANA, NHYIRABA, that the father of the deceased, a securityman with Socfinaf, a Rubber Company in Daboase has been ‘squeezing water from stone’
to get the needed education for his son.

But in the midst of all those sacrifices by the father, the boy had gone to impregnate a girl in the community so the girl’s parents were preparing to come and inform the boy’s parents. It is strongly believed that the fear of what might happen to him after the exposure that pushed the boy to commit the act.

According to impeccable source, the very Sunday that the incident happened, the boy’s mother asked him to accompany them to church but he told the family to take the lead only for his lifeless body to be seen dangling on a rope in his room a few minutes later by his indisposed father.
