Lonely man plasters portraits of himself all over to find love

Lonely New Yorker Dan Perino, tired of traditional methods of dating, decided to try
something (strange?) new, and unique to find love. He's plastering posters of himself all over
Manhattan in a bid to find the woman of his dreams.

Desperate as it may sound, but he insists that he's not. The 50-year-old simply believes that
it's a better way of meeting women. The black- and-white posters consist of a large photograph
of him, with the words 'Looking for a Girlfriend' below. He's currently pasting them all over the
city – on post boxes, lamp posts, and parking meters.

Dan claims he received hundreds of calls only a few hours after the fliers went up. Some women
were genuinely interested, while others thought the posters were a joke. As strange as it sounds,
the posters idea seems to have worked – Dan already has one date set up.

And he has no plans to stop any time soon; he
says he's going to put up 500 fliers every day
for the next 30 days. His needs are quite simple. Hear him: "I'm looking for an average
woman that likes to do the same things that I do." He proceeds: "I want to find a more
meaningful relationship."

People on social media reacted differently to Dan's initiative. Some think he's crazy, while
others believe he might be on to something. "I think it's kind of weird and a little scary," said
one woman. "I wouldn't date him." But Dan is quite confident that he won't be single much
longer. "Within a week, I'll have a girlfriend," he told local reporters.

I'd say Dan at least has a higher chance of finding the right woman than Robert Darling, the
lonely bachelor walking the streets of Manhattan
in search of a wealthy woman willing to take
care of him.
